Antique American Chestnut

The American Chestnut was heavily affected by a tree disease that struck in 1904. Logically, most of our reclaimed Chestnut is carefully reclaimed from beams or sidings from farms and homes that were built before that year. This wood shows a very strong colour variation with abundant cracks, worm-, beetle- and nail holes.
