Mas de Castillone, Provence

Located in Provence, Mas De Castillone is a transformation that honors the building’s storied past while introducing a refined aesthetic. Now a boutique hotel with seven bedrooms, this former school and family home has been reimagined by K-Interiors to offer a timeless, inviting atmosphere that captures the warmth and charm of a Provencal retreat.

Having worked with Ebony and Co on a previous project, K-Interiors returned to the trusted quality and craftsmanship. The wooden floors, particularly in the bedrooms, provide a sense of warmth and comfort, making every step a connection to the home’s history and the natural beauty of Provence.
The biggest transformation occurred in the living room, which was once a storage area. The beams were reworked, the height adjusted, and a new living room was created, making it the heart of the home.
The flooring played a central role in shaping the design. The moment K-Interiors saw the Continental Poplar Megève Natural Velvet Poly, with its rich, burnished tones, they knew it was the perfect foundation for the villa.
The planks, varying in width from 18-35 cm and in length from 150-350 cm, provided a striking yet elegant backdrop that influenced the entire color palette of the home.
Furnishings were sourced locally, with custom designs and antique pieces adding depth and character. A striking wooden door from India was integrated, connecting Provence to distant lands and reflecting the rich history of textile and fabric imports in the region.
